How do I go about cancelling my debit order?


Answer

1. Regrettably the debit order cannot be canceled as this is part of the terms and conditions of being a Self-Managed                  customer.

2. Should the debit order bounce, your meter/s will be automatically deactivated until the outstanding payment is made.

3. The outstanding payment consists of:

    3.1 The outstanding management fee charge

    3.2 The debit order bounce charge


Solution

1. Advance payments made into our ABSA Cheque Account for 3, 6, or 12 months, the reference must be your Customer            Branch code. Your Account will remain in credit for this period and no debit order will be processed.

2. When the credit is depleted the debit order will automatically start to process again.
